Naxals targeted Congress leader who are in 'Parivartan Yatra' in Chhattisgarh. Congress Senior Leader Mahendra Karma was killed in this blast. Reportedly, senior Congress leaders Vidya Charan Shukla and Kawasi Lakma were also shot at by Naxals during the attack in Jagdalpur district of Chhattisgarh. The bomb blast was happen in May 25 2013 saturday evening.
Chhattisgarh Cheif Minister Raman Singh invited for emergency meeting about this bomb blast.
Mahendra Karma was a Salwa Judum founder. Mahendra Karma was died on Saturday evening in Jagdalpur district. Apart from Karma, a Congress MLA was killed, the state Congress president was kidnapped and another party leader was seriously hurt in the attack. Prime Minister Manmohan singh had sent a army forces to the state for help.
